MPD Notice, recent break ins

Notice from Milton Police.

MPD Notice: Recent break-ins

by Frank Schroth • September 24, 2014 • 0 Comments

ATTENTION residents of Central Ave., School St., Eliot St., Columbine Neighborhoods. Last night, we had (1) attempted housebreak on Hinckley Rd. and (1) break-in on Herrick Drive
Both occurred in the early morning hours. The attempt involved the breaking of a glass window which woke the resident and scarred away the perpetrator. In the break, an unknown suspect made entry through an “unlocked” kitchen window. The crime was discovered this morning. We need your help.
1. Lock all windows and doors.
2. Outside lights are a GREAT deterrent. “leave them on.”
3. Don’t leave items like pocketbooks and I pads near outside windows where a potential thief can see it.
4. If you are a night owl, take some time to just look out your window at night. You will be surprised you might get very lucky and see a potential thief.
5. CALL 911 right away if you see or hear anything suspicious. Please share this important information with your friends and neighbors.
Many thanks…

Last minute reminders on Blocktoberfest

Hello Neighbors!  A couple of friendly reminders as we approach Bloktoberfest on Saturday 9/27.

  1. Final day to RSVP Pay by 9/24.  We have sent emails and we have dropped flyers.  I know we touched everyone with some sort of communication at this point.  Thank you to those who responded and paid already.  The response has been fantastic, so it should be a great neighborhood event.
  2. Small favor with Appetizers, Sides, and Desserts- If you could let us know if the dish you are bringing has any “Nut” or “Eggs”, so we make sure any of our friends with food allergies are well aware to stay clear.   Do not let this stop you from bringing anything you planned on bringing.  We just want to make sure everyone is aware.  Better to be safe than sorry.
  3. Special Thanks to Ann and Dave Conklin for supplying their Jumpy house  Lets all make sure we all watch our kids in this, so we return this in the exact same condition. Thank you Ann & Dave!

Street Closes at 2pm.  I will not even talk about the weather at this point, because we all know they never get it right(I promise this is my last email Stafford).  See you Saturday!

Thank You
